Edgar Facundo
PERCUSSION INSTRUCTOR
Edgar Facundo is a percussionist pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). His musical experience includes both orchestral and wind ensemble performance, with a growing focus on developing his skills as an educator and performer.
Since 2022, Edgar has performed with the UTRGV Symphony Orchestra, gaining experience in a collaborative orchestral setting. He has also served as Principal Percussionist of the UTRGV Wind Ensemble, a role he held in 2025. Edgar’s repertoire spans a wide range of solo and ensemble works for marimba, snare drum, timpani, and multi-percussion. Through these experiences, he continues to develop a versatile musical foundation across both melodic and rhythmic percussion performance. Passionate about music education, Edgar is committed to sharing his knowledge and helping students build confidence, discipline, and a lasting appreciation for music.
