Diana Huerta Jimenez
VOICE INSTRUCTOR
Ms. Huerta’s passion for music began with classical vocal training in high school and continued at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where she earned a Minor in Music with an emphasis in classical vocal performance. A versatile mezzo-soprano, she has performed with the Valley Symphony Choir and has served as a bilingual worship leader at Peñitas Baptist Church for over 10 years, leading classical hymns in both English and Spanish.
In addition to her extensive musical background, Ms. Huerta brings valuable teaching experience to the academy. She has served as a Sunday School teacher at her church and has worked as a classroom substitute teacher within the public school system, developing a passion for creating engaging, encouraging, and supportive learning environments for students of all ages.
Her musical training includes music theory, sight-singing, diction, and a diverse vocal repertoire featuring Italian, German, Spanish, and English art songs, as well as classical arias. Ms. Huerta is passionate about helping students develop healthy vocal technique, strong musicianship, and confidence while fostering a joyful and encouraging atmosphere where every student can thrive.
She looks forward to inspiring the next generation of singers and sharing the joy of music with every student she teaches.
